Abdominal and Groin guard high density foam padding with elastic belt. Maximum protection during training. The SIZE on this is based on the size of your WAIST - though it does have an adjustable tie on the back to give you some flexibility in the sizing (even with the elastic waistband).
Since the pad does rise up even with your waist, some people find it is not ideal for grappling (since it will press on your stomach if you have to curl up tightly).
