These plain black fight shorts exactly the same as our #9 shorts - made of a "4-way flex" fabric - but the inside if finished with a smooth (almost like silk) inner surface. That means they slide over your leg and "drape" even nicer than the #9's. We make both styles since some people prefer the "rougher" finish on the inside as it's slightly stiffer and the sweat evaporates a little faster. But it you're looking for even more comfort these are the one to pick.
Similar to microfiber, this fabric actually stretches just a little bit to allow much more flexibility because it slides along your leg much easier. They have a "solid" waistband and an internal drawstring for minor adjusting and tightening
With a light, easy to clean fabric that also doesn't get heavy with sweat, these are great shorts for heavy workouts. They are made of a special combination of 80% polyester and 20% nylon. They also have an extra flap over the top of the fly closure that covers the opening - so your stomach doesn't rub on the velcro at all (use the ZOOM on the picture to see the flap).
These shorts have a very generous cut and most people find they fit about 1/2 size over most shorts, so you might want to add 1" to your waist measurement before reading the size chart. They tend to ride just at or slightly above your kneecap, so they have a slightly longer cut than most of our shorts.
All of these shorts have a drawstring inside the waistband, but you want to get pretty accurate on the waist size. The fly closure on the front will look a little funny if you get a style without an elastic waistband and you don't have the right size shorts.
Also keep in mind that the size written on your pants is sometimes as much as 3" different from your actual waist measurement. The chart assumes you're using your "measured" size, not what you're reading on the label of your pants. Read this if you're not sure what we're talking about: You're pants are lying like a stinky dog...
