From the back cover:
This fourth and long awaited video from Manu centers around the submissions and the ways of escaping, some of them unknown by many of you and others very common, though realized from different positions, such as, for example, a Kimura from the Mounted or even rear, being underneath the Mounted in cross. Accompanied by a first-rate helper, Nacho Vidal and with ample training in Jiu-Jitsu with the Gracie and Vale-Tudo and Muay Thai with Artur Mariano, Manu shows us the secrets of a good fighter: timing, fluidity and adaptation to each combat situation.
Post Viewing Notes
Video and lighting is quite acceptable. Audio doesn't really apply since there is very little narration - as with all DVD's in this series.
The moves are all done slowly and in slow motion (definitely not the same thing and great to see it both ways). A little more narration would have been nice, but the moves are done so clearly, there isn't that much need for it.
There's also some video from tournaments with the instructor featured in competition. Most of that video is not very high quality (obviously homemade by someone in the crowd) but it's easily good enough to see what's going on. Not a lot of it anyway, just enough to see the guy knows what he's doing even withOUT a willing partner.
These moves are definitely more advanced that some of the earlier DVDs. You'd be better off starting with "Total Grappling". Not that this one is building on that specifically, but the stuff in this one is not for beginners. Tons of arm bars, chokes, guard work, sparring, etc.
An excellent DVD that is definitely worth many, many viewings.
Total running time: 58 minutes with lots of chapter stops - 25 of them!
