How do you get "Free Ground Shipping"?
We currently offer free ground shipping when you purchase over $150 worth of gear.
Note this is Ground Shipping that we're talking about, and we are shipping from our warehouse in California. If you live in Hawaii, Iceland or anywhere else we can't ship via "Ground", then the option probably isn't going to be available.
Yes... We know... A truck could be driven from our warehouse to Brazil, but FedEx doesn't consider that "Ground Shipping", so it's not included (very clever - and you get points for trying - but not included).
After you add items to your shopping cart, you can preview the shipping options available based on your shipping address or postal code. If the order is over the threshold and you do NOT see the free shipping option, you'll know you're not shipping to a location that's eligible - which is generally outside the Continental US.
And don't worry, you can see all the final shipping costs BEFORE you have to commit to the order.
We do sometimes get asked "...can I pre-order something out of stock, get it shipped later, and still have the free shipping option with today's order?" Good question but sorry we can't do it that way.
Why do we offer the free shipping? We'd just like you to buy more stuff.
And if you do buy more stuff, it seems nice to give you a bit of a discount to say "thanks". Depending on what you order, it generally works out to about 10% to 15% off the total price.
