Terribly average fighter with INCREDIBLE gloves! Review by Jeff

These gloves are incredible! They feel balanced, comfortable and I feel protected the few times I actually make contact in kickboxing. I feel every ounce of the 16oz after working out but I wouldn't want it any other way. Thanks Piranha Gear for making quality gloves at a price mediocre fighters can afford.

Great gloves, very comfortable but on the small side. Review by Simeon

First - you will need the XLs. I don't have big hands but the Large size made my fingertips feel jammed in the ends. I'd be even more conservative than the comment above - my hands are 7" from heel to finger and I needed the XL.
That said - these feel great and look great - I'll know in about 6 months how they fare as far as durability... But for the week couple of weeks that I've had them I'm very pleased. A couple of the boxers at my gym (Bad to the Bonz, Modesto CA) felt them and were impressed with the quality for the price...(Posted on 5/13/10)

My review is on the fit of the gloves Review by Joku

Since there aren't many ratings on this and since I've tried these gloves on and I own a pair of the blue ones, I'll help out.
I tried these on without wraps and they were too tight on my hands. I measured my hand for this review and my hand from knuckle to knuckle is 3 1/2" wide and about 7 1/4" long from wrist to the end of my middle finger(my longest finger).
My hand was being choked in the glove, because of the width of my hand, so if you're hand is my width or larger, get the blue pair(XL) - especially if you're going to wear wraps.
If your measurement from wrist to longest finger is longer than 7 1/2", I'd recommend getting the blue gloves(XL).
I haven't actually used these gloves, so I can't review on the usage, but they seem decent and at least comparable to my Everlast gloves.
Piranha Gear let me ship these gloves back and get the blue/black gloves that were my size. They gave me no hassle and plenty of assistance. My experience with their customer service is great and by reading other reviews, I expected this even before I placed an order with them.

Everyone loves them Review by Joel Kawate

Great gloves, Took them to the boxing club where my friend is fighting out of and put them through the paces. Don't feel like 16 oz gloves, they feel a lot better and lighter (Yet the weight out at 16oz) Had three different fighters from different weight classes use them and they all loved them.

Life long customer Review by Mark Dunn

Good morning Piranha Gear team, I wanted to send you a quick note and tell you how much I love the new gloves. I got the 16oz black and yellow boxing gloves and was able to take them on their first test drive in Muay Thai last night. 6 rounds of sparring, 6 rounds of padwork, and 6 rounds of bagwork. These gloves were fantastic. I didn't experience the typical "breaking in" process with these gloves. the soft leather and durable core made it feel like I'd had these gloves for months. I probably have normal sized hands, and with the wraps they fit like a tight running shoe. I didn't feel like the gloves were moving around at all. In sparring they felt a bit lighter on my hands and the padding was just right. When I got home I found that the larger slit made for better opening not only for taking gloves on and off, but also for drying. The 6 people in my class (mainly Fairtex and Windy fans) were really amazed by the quality of the glove (I let everyone try them on). I won't be surprised if you get a few converted customers out of this. I can't say enough about your customer service. To get these in just barely 2 days is truly amazing. You've got a life long customer in me for all my gear. regards M. Dunn
