Starring Bruce Lee as Kato and Van Williams as The Green Hornet, the 1960s crime-fighting duo-by day Britt Reid, publisher-editor of the Daily Sentinel, and his chauffeur-man servant Kato-battle relentlessly against the forces of urban evil.
The Green Hornet and Kato tracing a flood of counterfeit stamps, are confronted by the unlikely Col. Gumm. The two crimefighters leave the scene because of lack of evidence. Factory owner Pinky Pinkston is concerned about the break-in, so she asks Commissioner Gordon for help, and Gordon alert the Dynamic Duo.
The Green Hornet and Kato, returning to the factory in an attempt to round up the do-badders, are captured by Gumm and his men. Although The Batman and Robin arrive soon after, they fall into a glue trap and are forced to watch in horror as The Hornet and Kato are fed to an enlaged perforation and coiling machine, in which they are both to be blocked, gummed and perforated into lifesized stamps, while The Caped Crusader and The Boy Wonder, Stuck to Col. Gumm's undetachable glue pad, await their turn.

OK, let's face it. You're not getting this because you want to see tight plots with spectacular special effects and 5.1 surround sound. You want to see Bruce Lee in THE Green Hornet.
Volume 3 has the pilot from the series and a "crossover" pair of Batman episodes with Batman & Robin (yes, that Batman & Robin). Each episode is about 24 minutes long and the chapter stops don't really make any sense. But this isn't something you're going to watch over and over, scanning for specific moves. This is
just for fun!
Sound and lighting are very good quality - typical of a color 60's TV show (think "Bewitched"). Nothing special, but quite watchable. They appeared to have done a great job on the transfer to DVD (except for the
chapter stops!). These are "real" DVDs, not someone's homemade (unauthorized) copies burned in their basement.
The only extra is a modern "short" episode (a little under 10 minutes and obviously not with Bruce Lee). At first, it seemed like a trailer for a "coming soon", but it's WAY long for a trailer. The fight scenes in the extra really ARE excellent though, oddly, the sound wasn't so great. Not worth getting
just for the extra, but definitely a nice bonus.
Running time: approximately 82 minutes (full color)
You can also checkout a short cut from the extra on the DVD
here.
(see descriptions for Vol's 1 or 2 for samples of the series).
