Audio and video are both excellent! Superb productions values - among the best we've seen. Easily rivaling anything you'd expect out of a top-notch production house.

The two instructors (one with a very MINOR accent - not an issue at all) speak on camera or voice over giving smoothly delivered information and instructions. Not a bunch of filler and mood music. The DVD gets right to the point in a very professional manner.

Chapter breaks for each of the techniques - and there are a couple dozen (!) on the DVD. Lots of defenses against chokes and hair grabs (maybe over half), but defenses against other attacks too. Clear, simple instructions for each of the techniques. Many with a (nicely done) "realistic" demonstration.

Note that these are SELF-DEFENSE techniques, not things you're going to use sparring with a partner. These are not intended to work in a "fight" with opponents exchanging blows. It's for the "victim" to defend against an "attacker" and then run away! That's the intent and it's made clear in the demonstrations.

Most of the time a DVD is really intended to be an add-on to your training or expose you to something else. This is one of the few DVDs (and few styles) that it's possible to learn something useful AND usable by simply practicing with another person. But that's largely because of Krav Maga, not the DVD per se.

Ideal for someone that "just wants to learn to defend themselves."

Technically and content-wise, this series of DVDs is REALLY top-notch. Even trying to be super critical, there really isn't anything they could have done better. No compromises on quality, just an all around great DVD.
