This is a double weave uniform for Judo, Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido. This kimono has a traditional "rice-grain" weave for the top and reinforced pants for durability. 100% cotton and made of 700 gram fabric, it includes pants with a traditional drawstring waist.
It was specifically designed to withstand intense grappling during training and competition. Seams are reinforced - especially in the shoulders, lapel and sleeves - to ensure quality and durability.
Please note this is NOT a uniform intended for a beginning student. We strongly recommend that you consider a single weave uniform first simply because they cost less (though if money is not an significant limitation, you'll love this one instead).
Since this is normally for an intermediate or advanced student, a belt is NOT included with this uniform. However, we do carry belts which are colored, heavier or with BJJ sleeves as separate items.
Also note that this particular uniform tends to run large compared to other brands of double weave uniforms. Please be sure to check the size charts and if you are between sizes, we recommend you go with the smaller size. We also have the arms and legs made a little extra long to allow the uniform to be tailored to fit after washing.
These uniforms tend to run a little larger than the "average" so do pay attention to the size chart below. If you're between sizes or your body height and weight doesn't seem to fall inside the numbers listed, we recommend that if you're "tall & thin" go with height (you don't want it too short), "not tall" or "not thin" go with weight (you don't want it too small around your waist/stomach/chest).
